Leisure time fishing in Republic of Slovenia is performed in sea (Set of Regulations on leisure time Marine Fishing) and inland waters (Set of Regulations on Fishing Regime in Fishing Waters).

Information on leisure time fishing on the sea and on how to obtain the permits are available on the web pages of the Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Governmental Portal for the Republic of Slovenia.

Fishing in the waters of special significance, in which fishing management is carried out by the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia is allowed only in fishing districts.
