Breeding fish is one of the activities of the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia. We breed all living, indigenous salmonid species living in our inland waters, and also rainbow trout. Most bred fish are intended for regular and supplementary investment and for sale to fishing families or to local markets.

To perform this activity, we have fish breeding operations:
