We implemented tagging, with the intention of pursuing the movment of fish in the area of the Sava river and its tributaries.

In this we used technical tagging with codes, as is visible from pictures. We tagged primarily Rutilus Pigus, and some cases of Asp, Vimba, and the Common Bream.

With this action we hope to gain data about the movement of the respective species in the area of Spodnja Sava and its tributaries.

The successful collection of data is in large measure dependent on your cooperation, therefore we ask you, in the case of catching tagged fish to report the following data:

• date and place of catch,
• types of fish,
• number of codes,
• length of the fish,
• assessed weight (if the fish was put back into the water) or
• exact weight (if the fish was retained).

Report data by telephone at 01/ 24 43 400, which is also a component part of the code or on the Institute's email address.
