Assessment of Retained Catch from Recreational Fishing
The assessment of the retained catch from recreational fishing comes from a
biological sampling which has been carried out in sea fishing areas of the Republic of Slovenia since 2007. The data on catch
is collected from fishermen who are performing recreational fishing at sea.
The data is collected:
- From questionnaires given to fishermen when
purchasing the daily or weekly license for recreational fishing, and
- From questionnaires filled in by the experts at
the Institute in the time of inspections of sport and recreational fishermen.
The
data from the questionnaires is transferred to the database.

quantitative assessments of the retained catch from recreational fishing.
