Fishing Management Plan

In the framework of Common Fisheries Policy, each European union member state must prepare and admit a Fisheries Management Plan (Council Regulation (ES) No. 1967/2006).

Fisheries Management Plan (in Slovenian language only!) specifically refers to the commercial maritime fishing in the territorial sea of the Republic of Slovenia. The plan only discusses some types of fishing gear like:

trawl nets,
pelagic and bottom trawls,
surrounding nets and
dredges.

Fisheries Management Plan Goals

With the proposal of the Fisheries Management Plan, The Ministry of agriculture, forestry and food acquired data and directives for the final version of the Fisheries Management Plan.

21. in 22. januarja 2010 je v prostorih ZZRS potekal sestanek AdriaMed na temo socioekonomskih podatkov o stanju morskega ribištva. To je bil prvi tovrstni sestanek organiziran v Sloveniji.
