Biological sampling of the landing has been carried out on the landing places of fisheries products since 2006, where we are on the monthly basis sampling European Pilchards (Sardina pilchardus) and European Anchovies (Engraulis encrasicolus) caught with purse sein and pelagic trawl net.

An outside contractor samples and processes the biological material in a laboratory and enters the data on the standardized forms. Experts from the Institute transfer the data to the database and process them.
