Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia

Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia is a public service in the area of freshwater and marine fisheries, business services in the area of sport and recreational fishing and fish farming, including various research and expert activities in the field of ichthiology and fish biology.

Activities of public service in the area of freshwater fisheries:

  • establishing and managing of the integral information systems of fisheries,
  • the carryout of monitoring of fish population and monitoring of fish as an element of ecological state of waters by the regulations on the protection of the environment and waters, and the provisions of the Freshwater Fishing Act,
  • The carrying out of other expert tasks according to regulations on the protection of the environment and waters, among which is mainly the preparation of the proposal of the monitoring program and methodology and the manner of the fish monitoring implementation as an element of ecological state of waters,  
  • the carrying out of other expert tasks according to the regulations on the preservation of nature and Freshwater Fishing Act,
  • the carrying out of fishery management in waters of special significance defined by the regulation of the government and within fishing territories for which the concession for fishing management is not awarded or was taken away,
  • submitting fish monitoring data as an element ecological state of waters to the ministry responsible for waters, for the purpose of assessing the ecological state of water,
  • preparing expert groundwork for determining the borders of fishing areas and fishing territories,
  • preparing for the fishing management program and for awarding concessions,
  • preparing fishery management plans in fishing areas,
  • creating fish breeding plans,
  • approving of annual programs of the carriers of fishing management and reporting, and
  • issuing approvals and expert opinions.

Activities of public service in the field of marine fisheries:

  • managing of the records of fishing vessels,
  • managing of records of fishermen - physical persons for social security,
  • collecting prescribed data,
  • research of fishing resources,
  • monitoring of the state for providing sustainable use of fish and fishing possibilities,
  • monitoring of fish population and monitoring of fish as an element of ecological state of waters according to the regulations on protection of nature, waters, and provisions of the act on marine fishing,
  • reporting to state bodies, community bodies, and bodies of international organizations from the area of fisheries of which the Republic of Slovenia is a member,

Market Activities:

  • various research and expert tasks in the area of ichthiology and fish biology,
  • marketing of sport and recreational fishing in the waters of special significance, in which fishing management is carried out by the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia,
  • breeding and sale of fish and fishing necessities in fish farm facilities,
  • issuing expert magazines and other periodicals,
  • carrying out of the training, and
  • other tasks determined by the program of work and the financial plan of the Institute.

na podlagi 10. člena Pravilnika o opravljanju strokovnega izpita za ribogojca (Uradni list RS, št. 99/2007 z dne 30.10.2007), vas obveščamo o izpitnem roku za ribogojca.

Izpit za ribogojca bo v soboto 04.02.2012, ob 10.00 uri, v prostorih Zavoda za ribištvo Slovenije, Sp. Gameljne 61a, Spodnje Gameljne, 1211 Ljubljana-Šmartno.

Naslednji sklop predavanj na temo strokovni izpit za ribogojca bo v prostorih Zavoda za ribištvo Slovenije, Sp. Gameljne 61a, 1211 Ljubljana-Šmartno, ko bo prijavljenih vsaj 15 kandidatov. Izpit bo izveden najkasneje jeseni 2012.
